What is the Alliance for Business Professional Services (ABPS)?
ABPS is an unincorporated association comprised of approximately fifty participants from the United States, Tokyo, and Madrid. The Alliance brings together a diverse network of experienced professionals including former executives of U.S. subsidiaries of Japanese firms, CPAs, lawyers, consultants, and academics. ABPS links Japanese companies to this vital network of highly skilled professionals and consultants.
What does ABPS do?
ABPS was specifically formed to support the business development and unique challenges of small to mid-sized Japanese companies in the United States. With a growing body of members, ABPS offers total business consulting and serves as a convenient starting point for qualified referrals. ABPS representatives assess the special needs of our clients and recommend professionals with the expertise to serve the client effectively.
Whether you are a start-up company or an established firm, our professionals can provide individually crafted strategies and skilled guidance covering all aspects of business management: marketing, retailing, legal, accounting and tax issues, human resources, and troubleshooting. Although our focus has been on Japanese firms, our goal is to eventually help American and Asian companies doing business with Japanese companies. We see this as a great opportunity to foster partnership and collaboration between Japanese and American or international businesses.
ABPS conducts monthly seminars in New York City with speakers covering topics specific to Japanese enterprise. This forum is an opportunity to build business relationships and share knowledge and experience, challenges and successes. We are also planning to hold seminars in Japan on topics covering investment in America for the benefit of Japanese companies.
